For today’s exercise, I’d like you have some fun — take an image of a person and put them in a new background, like we did with the giraffes. Try using layer adjustments and masks instead of filters and the refine edge tool. For example, put:
- yourself on the cover of a magazine
- a celebrity on Mars
- someone you know in an unlikely situation.
Post the final pic on your home page and add your originals. Feel free to give me a quick rundown of what you did, if you want. For example:
Here’s one of me sitting in a guitar: I cut myself out using a layer mask, added a piece of the guitar in an overlapping layer, used the clone stamp tool to fix the green leaf overlapping the shoulder and finally, I put a saturation layer on top, increasing the luminosity.
